I attended last weekend a workshop with Donna Zaggotta, it was fabulous, I tried to do series of the same image by changing the value study, I liked the result and I learned a lot from this workshop. I used watercolour on hotpress paper, I also used white gouache , which is what Donna recommended.

Ah!!! soi you met my pal "DZ"!! Better yet, you could not have taken a better workshop! Donna is my absolute example of how value studies should be taught and done. She is amazing! I hope you took lots of notes and refer to them often. She is the best!

Thanks Mike, yes I did learn a lot about value study from Donna and that reminded me of lessons you gave us in France, ( you were more fun I'll have to admit), I am using them now more than before and it is very clear in my mind.
Those paintings are amasing , who is the lucky lady.
